January 5, 2011 small stone aros

One tiny shell from Niihau, one polaroid from Eklutna Glacier, one bit of sand from the stairs of the temple of Hatshepsut, a piece of sheep's wool from the hills near Clew Bay, all wrapped in a silk scarf from Istanbul and kept in my grandmother's wooden Bible box. These are my priceless treasures I will hand down.

Bucket List 2011

I'm doing a daily health challenge on FaceBook, and today we're challenged to come up with a bucket list: those things one wants to do before they die. The real challenge is, once you've finished writing the list of 5 or 10 things, to choose one you will focus on this year that you can make some headway on, or actually accomplish. So, here's my list:
Bucket list 2011

Visit Scotland for a month

Go to Bilbao to see the museum by Gehry

go back to my Italian language studies and become fluent enough for conversation

learn to read in French

Go to Paris for a month

Spend a year traveling the world on that condo ship The World as someone’s housesitter

Live in Tuscany after the kids are grown

Have The Godmother picked up by HBO as a long-running series with me as creator/head writer

Can you guess which one I've chosen to work on? If you can, post a comment and I'll let you know whether you're right and how I plan to proceed in 2011.

sunbeam touches your feather, your beauty touches my heart, I rise to feed you and you fly away to someone who thought of your need without caring about your looks.

Fever burns through my head and body cleansing me of all negativity left over from the old year.
